EXPERIENCE

I WROTE A BOOK at 7

Ok, sure it was a second grade class project but let’s define experience… Flipping through the mildewy pages of T is for Tree, it becomes clear that soliciting Austin’s illustrative skills destined me to work with people more visually talented than me aka an Art Director. I invite you to examine row 2 and guess which I drew between focusing on the Author’s page. Maybe there are a few spelling and grammar errors, spare me okay I was an ESL kid.

once a marine always…

This was me in bootcamp. Amidst the chaos, we got this one second of peace where we got to throw on a fake uniform, stand before a camera and try to appear calm, cool, and collected all while holding eyes that’d wave to mom and ask “are you proud of me?”

TLDR; I’m chill as a cucumber through chaos.

In college, all I wanted out of internships was writing experience. If you’ve ever read the old advertising books, you’ll find that many legacy creatives have something in common: out of college they were writers before they were copywriters. I was many types of paid and unpaid interns; ghostwriter, blogger, content writer, journalist, and finally a copywriting intern before I became a copywriter and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

A picture of the Pan de Muerto I baked in support of an article I wrote. Visit the link to read the work.
